What is Shrink Film?

Shrink film is made of a thin, flexible material that shrinks when heated, allowing it to conform closely to the shape of the item being wrapped. This type of film is often used to package products such as food, beverages, electronics, and other consumer goods.

To apply the shrink film, the item to be packaged is placed inside the film, which is then sealed using heat or a sealant. As heat is apply the film shrinks down to form a tight, protective layer around the item.

Types of Shrink Film

There are several different types of shrink film available:

Polyethylene film: This is the most common type of shrink film, and it is made from low-density polyethylene (LDPE). It is a durable, flexible film that is resistant to moisture and provides good shrink properties.

Polyolefin film: This type of shrink film is made from a blend of polypropylene and polyethylene, and it is known for its high strength and versatility. It is resistant to moisture and has good shrink properties, making it ideal for packaging a wide range of products.

PVC film: This type of shrink film is made from polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and it is known for its toughness and clarity. It is often used to package food and other perishable items because it provides a barrier against moisture and odors.

PET film: This type of shrink film is made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET), and it is known for its high strength and clarity. It is often used to package electronics, books, and other products that require a clear, protective wrapping.
